I change the section delimiters because Browsers will open the template files and not complain about the "sections". Who knows, they could be the defaults by now.

My sections look like:
<!-- Sec_Start -->
Where "Start" is the name of the section.

As for the variables... I continue to use
/% variable_name %/

Again... browsers and Notepad++ are OK with that.

Bradley, thank you for your response. I did send to the

that article is 10+ years old so probably things have changed. I think
it is time to stop reading and dive in the trial and error cycle.

I would agree. Getting your feet wet is a great way to learn. Like I said, I've never used those specific directives. Unless somehow it'a s typo in the article referring to /$ and /%

I saw this this morning...(only 1 left!!!) :)

I think I have 3 somewhere around here... haha.. Although, they were just copies I got from the publisher. Now that I think about it, I didn't get a
1099 from them this year... uhoh! lol

Thanks again.

II would try contacting Giovanni Pirotti (easy400.net). He's got a
mailing
list for CGIDEV2 I believe.

Or if you want to go digging through the source for those strings,
you
may
find the section in the code that defines them.

Personally I've only used the

/$SectionName

and

/%variablename%/

Delimiters when I choose to use CGIDEV2 over eRPG SDK that is.

Hi All, I am doing a lot of reading while dipping my toes into the

In the article RPG to the WEB: the CGIDEV2 way by one of our
favorite people, Paul Tuohy he says. " ...with the addition of
CGIDEV2
directives
to identify sections (delimited by <!-- $ and $ -->) and variable
names (delimited by <!-- % and % -->)

I have been trying to find a list of all CGIDEV2 directives. If
there
are
more, can someone please point me at them?
