I am unsure if you will end up with a decimal point you don't want.
you can do something ugly like this..
%char(%dec(%editc(myVar:'X'):15:0));
You should end up with just the 0 like you want or the number in myVar with no leading zeroes.
Do let us all know if DECEDIT('0.') worked for you? thanks.

Good Luck.

Thanks! I’ll give it a try.

I had this issue a while back too, and had done some odd things with it..
until someone pointed out all I need to do is:

H DECEDIT('0.')

I believe this will work for integers as well. You can give it a try, but
I believe it should work.

what if row.amount is 0 in the below example?

yajl_addNum('amount': %char(row.amount));

your json, is returned without a zero which results in invalid JSON...

If you do %editc(row.amount:'X') instead, it pads with leading zero's which
is also invalid.

What do you guys use for this?
