Hi all,

I confess, I've not had to consider SQL Packages much until recently but
now I find myself a little confused.

I have a webservice running on an IBMi LPAR which needs to access a table
for update on another LPAR.

The Webservice is calling an SQLRPGLE program which uses 3-part SQL to
access the remote database. This part is not really negotiable.

At the moment the SQLRPGLE module has the RDB, USER, PASSWORD and SQLPKG
specified on the create command.

I've set up a SVRAUTE for QTMHHTP1 for the server and user I want the SQL
to use and that is all working swimmingly.

But I can't seem to figure out how I can use a single program for both
Production and Test.

The RPG program can tell from the uri environmental variable REQUEST_URI if
it should be accessing the test or production libraries ( different
libraries on the other LPAR, same file )

A given job will only ever run TEST or PROD and so the program won't have
to switch files.

If I was doing something like this on a local machine, I'd be using file
overrides or qualified opens set up at initialisation but I don't really
know how to achieve it remotely using 3-part SQL.

Has anyone else had this requirement?
Am I missing something obvious?

I haven't gone down the route of trying to build dynamic SQL yet, I was
hoping for an easier higher level option ( like override, alias ) before I
go down that route as some of the SQL is already a bit involved.

Thanks and regards as always,
Craig
