It's not going to happen often, but I've held page down to fly thru a sub file, and hit 9999 limit faster than I expected. The program failed because "No one would do that". I would never press page down 800+ times or even 100+ times, but holding down page down and letting it happen? I've done that.

HI, if you go to www.think400.dk/downloads.htm and look for a project called Trigger Mediator you will find code for screen program TG0001.

This screen program is written 100% ILE and you will find it has examples of single page load using SQL and screens for editing records and validating deletes.

The code was written several years ago so it will work on earlier version of the O/S but it gives you an extremely well structured examples of coding screens.

If you have questions, please contact me and I will see if I can help.

And for the record, anytime you are loading more than a page or two of records, records should be loaded using single page load and the file extended as new pages are added. You are making a user wait will you load
833 pages of data that is just pain nuts and how many users are going to sit and page through 833 pages of data(Assuming 9999 records and 12 per page)? They are not going to do that.
