HI, if you go to www.think400.dk/downloads.htm and look for a project
called Trigger Mediator you will find code for screen program TG0001.

This screen program is written 100% ILE and you will find it has examples
of single page load using SQL and screens for editing records and
validating deletes.

The code was written several years ago so it will work on earlier version
of the O/S but it gives you an extremely well structured examples of coding
screens.

If you have questions, please contact me and I will see if I can help.

And for the record, anytime you are loading more than a page or two of
records, records should be loaded using single page load and the file
extended as new pages are added. You are making a user wait will you load
833 pages of data that is just pain nuts and how many users are going to
sit and page through 833 pages of data(Assuming 9999 records and 12 per
page)? They are not going to do that.
