The reason is the preliminary step you have to take
outside the program to get it.
? API, Command... same difference. Not even close to a spooled file scrape.
Reading from a DB is simple compared to reading from a user space, for
most. You don't have to worry about 16m overflows, pointers, etc.
But I do like Birgitta's suggestion and it's
doable in the program.
And yes. That's what open source
is all about.
Personally I just haven't had the time
but.. maybe I can squeeze some.
Is that an SQL scrape? :) Just teasing.
