No worries, I just had a "huh" moment... O_o

I'm not sure how using LF's for RLA would help with table layout changes.

Most of us, myself included, built many LFs which include all of the
columns from the base table, and simply added a different key. If I'd
used a projection instead, I'd be a long way ahead. A projection is a
subset of columns. So my program that prints name and address labels
would use the 'name and address' view which only has name and address in
it. Not phone number, email, salary, or anything else unrelated to
address. Then if I have to change size of the phone number column
(we're going international!) I don't have to touch any of the programs
which use the 'name and address' view. Or the 'salary' view. Or the
'email blast' view.

I could safely change the size of the phone number and my label printing
programs wouldn't know it even happened.
