So, if everybody (?) usually uses *NODEBUGIO, why would the powers--
that be make *DEBUGIO the default? I was just considering that there
might be some internal disadvantage. The obvious advantage is not
having to hit the F10 key once for every stinking field in a record
(sorry, "column" in a "row" - I forget sometimes - I'm old) when you
forget to F6 the spec after the read/chain. Has anybody figured out
how to quickly find the read/chain that your stuck at?

The disadvantage to *NODEBUGIO is that you can't debug I/O. For
example, if you're getting an error reading a field in the
(RPG-generated) input-specs, but want to see the values you're getting
on prior input-specs, you can't do so without *NODEBUGIO.
In my experience, this comes up very, very, very rarely, so I always
code *NODEBUGIO.

I've been using NODEBUGIO for some time and wonder if there is a
downside to using it that I'm unaware of.
