Thank you for your clarification!

When you mention "module" I am assuming you are referring to an actual *MODULE object, and also the temporary *MODULE object that is created by the CRTBNDRPG command.

Is it correct to say that the compiler will always look to the program source for a function definition (subprocedure), then any other *MODULES that are compiled with that program, and then finally any service programs (specified individually or in a binding directory) for the location of a specific function, and stops looking once it finds the first occurrence?
