In my experience, there are many, many subfiles that are only a few hundred rows. Those are ideal for load-all.

Subfiles have a limitation of 9999 rows, however it appears to me that the practical limit is somewhere around 2500 rows. At 15 rows/screen, getting to the end of a 2500 row subfile is 160 clicks. That is way too many to be useful.

So, when a subfile is likely to be over a few hundred records, I look at filtering, or two-stepping, to reduce the total number of records down to a few hundred at a time. If that isn't practical I generally go with a "Set to:" and then do single page subfiles. Dynamically extending subfiles, with today's loading speeds, seem to me today to have limited value and substantial maintenance issues.

Paging keys are built-in. Its automatic. You don't need to do
anything about the,m. To try out a scroll bar you only need to do one
or two things.
