If you just want to try it out to see how it works, find an existing load-all subfile in your play library which has 3 unused columns on the right side of the screen/window. Add the "*SCRBAR" as the first parm on the SFLEND keyword, and recompile.

That should let you see how it works. The slider & tray might be out of kilter, but that s fixable if you like what you are seeing.

It really is that simple. The only thing I had trouble getting used to was to leave three blanks columns on the right side for the scroll bar. You do lose three columns of real estate, but you gain one row since you don't need a line for MORE.../BOTTOM

Paging keys are built-in. Its automatic. You don't need to do
anything about the,m. To try out a scroll bar you only need to do one
or two things.

and, 2) if you haven't already, populate the SFLSIZ with the proper number of records:
