Re: Read from a db2 file, populate an excel .xml ifs file using rpg

XLSX files are in XML format - usually packaged in a PKZIP archive format.

Do they want the raw XML? Not compressed? Or, as another post asked, do they want the XLSX?

If the raw XML, you could set up the layout for use with CGIDEV2 - very simple to write the stuff that way from RPG.

As for a commercial solution, we have SEQUEL, which does a great job of this using their EXECUTE command.
