I am probably putting my foot into here a little, but if you are on a recent version of OS, then I think the DB2 version you have supports exporting to XML. Or to a DEL file, I think.

That may not work in iSeries DB2, but I thing the XMLAGG(XMLELMENT...) syntax is supported on the iSeries. It is not on the 5.4 machine I have immediate access to though.

What is the best way to do this?

I actually already had it done using hssfr4 and poi but
after I sent them the file, they said it had to be an
excel '.xml' file.

I've been told the easiest way is using data structures..?

I've done them in the distant past using ifs apis before,
and I know it is probably doable using cgidev2.

I have a sample/template of the excel .xml file.

Thanks for any help.
