The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I know I use qualified DS arrays when I want dynamic sorting / searching by different fields of the data structure. To me it is much cleaner and the code more easily understood using them.

I believe you but I don't understand you. What is the win he will gain by using a DS array? I admit, I have never understood the win/gain of the qualified keyword.

That works Booth - but it doesn't meet the OP's original requirement that it be a DS array. You're using a group field defined as an array.

fwiw, this code:

D numbr1 11s 2 inz(1) overlay(data)
D numbr2 11s 2 inz(2) overlay(data: *next)
/FREE
nField = %xfoot(numbr1);
wString = %editc(nField: 'N');
dsply wString;
nField = %xfoot(numbr2);
wString = %editc(nField: 'N');
dsply wString;
gave me this result:
DSPLY 100.00
DSPLY 200.00
