Simply compiling the program to use teraspace will do nothing for you. It won't even use it. I believe that pretty much all the RPG options are concerned with is can RPG access storage referenced via a teraspace pointer.

Why do you think that will improve performance?

If the program is well structured (i.e. subprocedure based) then collecting performance data and using that to optimize the program might give you a reasonable return. Generally though changes in programming technique (e.g. using SQL for set based operations like subfile fills etc.) will show more benefit.

Hi,

We have a Invoicing program which converted to ILE and we want to do a POC
to showcase performance enhancements, one thing Considered is use of the
Teraspace, but my concern is our ILE programs use OPM programs which we
cannot convert at this moment.

Chamara,

As far as I know, none of the OPM languages support teraspace.

Can you give us a little more context on what you plan to use teraspace
for?

Hi,

Does any one have experience with Tera Spaces in a mix development
environment (RPGLE, RPG/400, CL and CLLE)

If you have, what will be the impact on the RPG/400 programs?
