FWIW, I have never seen a shop that allowed RSTLIB or RSTOBJ from a contractor's toolbox. The reasons given are varied and numerous.

They have their own templates and tools and that is what they require being used. Again, the reasons given are varied and numerous.

I have been allowed to use IBM Rational Developer for i to connect to their box.

This question is probably for contractors who routinely work on different AS400's. How do you bring with you your tools/template code to use at each job site? What if you are not allowed to use RSTLIB or RSTOBJ? What is the easiest most flexible way to save your RPGILE source code so that you can easily restore it to another AS400?
