A couple years ago IBM reached out to VARPG developers to help define a direction for the product.

The digest version is that developers did NOT want pay for updated tooling. It appears that in the absence of an ecosystem, IBM is not interested in supporting it. Can you blame IBM for not supporting a product used to migrate applications to Windows desktops, and little or no revenue from the tooling itself?
