The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

James,
In a batch CL program use RTVJOBA TYPE(&JOBTYPE)
From the Help panel...
Specifies, the name of the CL variable that receives the 1-character value representing the environment of the job.
A character value of 0 indicates that the job is running as a batch job, and a 1 indicates an interactive job. The
variable must be a character variable with a minimum length of 1 character.
For interactive jobs call a CL that returns &JOBTYPE or use the QUSRJOBI API to obtain the job type.
HTH,
Gary

Subject: I think I've asked before: easy way for ILE RPG program to know whether it's running in a batch job or an interactive job?
Is there an easy way for ILE RPG program to know whether it's running in a batch job or an interactive job?
I'm sure I've brought this up before, but I can't find any trace of the answer.
