I do agree with you, but sometimes it helps to be reminded that the
workload on a modern IBM midrange system isn't so clear-cut. Is an HTTP
server job interactive? It smells like it - short amount of time in the
activity level interspersed with long key/think waits. Are disconnected
jobs interactive? They're in the 'interactive' subsystem. How would we
classify those QZDASOINIT jobs that run stored procedures called by a
web front end? I don't think there's a single answer that works for
everyone, but I recently re-learnt not to be blasé about how I classify
my workload and thought I'd share.
