FWIW, if you take off the K and just keep track of the record count I believe you will have the RRN.

If you are processing all of the records in the file, as a bonus your processing time improvement may astonish you.

I created a test program (above) and it does not show the RRN, or have an
invalid value after the first read. It then shows zero or blanks.



Can anyone help with retrieving the RRN?
