Hi Luis,

This is a faulty test.  You are creating subdirectories inside the 
directory you want to remove, not files.

RMVDIR DIR('/home/test1')     <-- deletes /home/test1, only if empty.

RMVLNK(*YES)    <-- delete any files (not subdirs) inside /home/test1,
                    and then delete the dir if it is now empty.

SUBTREE(*ALL)   <-- delete all subdirs and the files inside them
                    then delete the dir if it is now empty.

Since you created subdirectories (not files) you'd need to run
RMVDIR DIR('/home/test1') SUBTREE(*ALL)

The SUBTREE parameter is relatively new on IBM i, requires i 6.1. And, I 
have to admit, I never use it, because I work with Unix so much that I'm 
just more comfortable with the QShell commands.  But if you prefer the 
CL commands (for some crazy reason, haha), then I'd say Robert has given 
the right answer.
