I'm still missing the point between a dying language and missing "event-driven" concepts.
Especially since one could listen on an event (things like dataqueues remember) before Windows even existed.
BTW "event driven" is a concept or programming technique, it has nothing to do with the language itself.
I do admit however that RPG is missing some other sexy things we see in other modern languages.
And oh yes, IBM i is dying (I only see systems being upgrade, no new customers) and RPG will follow... unless people will realize that their "modern language" isn't making things easier to maintain.
