RPG OA has been around for 2 years - please state the major vendors that support the technology and who doesn't?

Depends on your definition of "major" doesn't it? These vendors all have tooling in the market. There are others I believe but these are the major international players.

Other major players in the "modernization" arena have so far passed on OA tooling. They may yet change their mind - certainly the removal of the pricing barrier will give some cause to think. They had their reasons - from discussions I've had it is often as much to do with the fact that it does not fit their underlying technology model as anything else. IBM's decision to price the feature automatically bumped the price - particularly on larger boxes. That was bound to affect uptake. The number who have adopted it is about what I would have expected.

But I'm going to say this one more time because it is the bit you keep forgetting/ignoring - IT IS NOT JUST FOR WEB APPS - that just attracts the publicity because everyone wants a silver bullet. Read what I said about Barbara, look at what Vern has achieved with it.

Stop thinking up arguments you can use against it - we've heard them all ad-naseum. Instead of writing a happy-snappy rebutal of this try and be positive and spend some time thinking what you _could_ do with it.
