XMLSERVICE exposes your RPG program as a webservice or stored procedure using a generic XML interface. So are you talking about consuming it from RPG? Otherwise, I don't see the difference. PHP uses XMLSERVICE to call RPG (as any other language could), so what other use of it were you thinking?
