That's why I asked what he's doing. He could be taking a course in RPG at some place that hasn't updated their curriculum in a while, or he could be maintaining a hybrid system that contains code that looks like an archaeological dig, spanning the eons of recorded RPG coding practices. I'd kind of like to know why he's asking the questions before giving an answer.
