Actually, this applies to most technology ... nothing is perfect. A good technologist has many tools in their bag.
Java is good at many things, not so good at others. RPG is good at many things also, not so good at others. Same goes for PHP, EGL, Python, Linux, IBM i, etc (although IBM i is better than most, as you can run most of the languages on it all at once <grin/>).
