The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
And of course - I showed the code in the header copy book, but you also
need defines in your programs:
In one of our sql programs:
/define #sql
/copy qrpgsrc,umedheader
In our menu programs:
/define #NEW
/copy qrpgsrc,umedheader
In a service program:
/define #SERVICE
/copy qrpgsrc,umedheader
/copy qrpgsrc,umedprmisc
We don't use *CALLER for anything anymore. We have a common menu program
and you can layer menus, so they are all *NEW. All programs are ILE and
currently go into QILE. We don't use any RCLRSC's or RCLACTGRP's in our
code, but for the next release cycle I'm pushing to move from QILE to a
named group just to be friendly with any other apps that might exist on
clients boxes.

Thanks for the input Eric. I'll keep your comments in mind when the time
comes.
Barbara - another response to my original post also suggested adding /IF
code to my H spec copybook. I see I have much to learn to get beyond
being
a "grasshoppa".
Thanks again, Jerry
