RPG programmers can learn new. But, if they don't have to, they won't in many cases. I could kick myself now for being so dumb.
Now I do C#, ASP.net and SIlvelight for the past year only because there are no jobs on the AS/400 in my area.
But left with no choice I did learn.

I found it easier to learn from an existing program, then I could figure out what is going on.

Did you hear the "Hallelujah" all the way from Toronto Scott? I
shouted it loudly enough!

Thank you for a terrific job of putting it all together. I think
personally that OA is a better idea than you give it credit for, but
I'd agree that it should have happened many years ago.

And you can add me to the list of people who think you're a great
teacher - but I figured that the fact that we invite you to speak at
all of the Summit events was probably a give-away <grin>

*THAT* is the point.  It's not that RPG OA is a great idea, or is a
modern approach.  It's not.  It's just that we've given up on RPG
programmers ever changing anything.  So we're making it possible to
move beyond 1980's technology without them learning anything.
