correct they can use SEU and when they save the member it will still
compile, etc normally as long as the syntax is correct. the syntax
checker has absolutely no impact whatsoever on the compiler.

Thanks,

Subject: SEU/PDM using new 7.1 enhancements can you create an
object using the 7.1 enhancements
Sent by: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm only at 5.4 but after reading Scott Klement article from April 22,2010

I'm curious about something.

I'm using WDSC and also using a trial version of Rational Developer for
Power Systems version 7.6 with the clock running out but we still have a
few
developers that are using PDM and SEU.

My question is at 7.1 the syntax checker for PDM and SEU will be frozen at

6.1. But can you not still exit the source where the syntax checker had
found the 7.1 enhancements and flagged them as invalid. Then just create
the
program or module? In other words if the programmers still using PDM and
SEU
at 7.1 can they get around it that way and still hang on to using PDM and
SEU? Sure it would be a pain for them but they still could right?

Thanks
