Note that SQL delete will work two different ways depending upon the
use of commitment control or not.
From the v5r4 manual:DELETE Performance: An SQL DELETE statement that does not contain a
WHERE clause will delete all rows of a table. In this case, the rows
may be deleted using either a clear operation (if not running under
commitment control) or a change file operation (if running under
commitment control). If running under commitment control, the deletes
can still be committed or rolled back. This implementation will be
much faster than individually deleting each row, but individual
journal entries for each row will not be recorded in the journal.

Charles is right. IIRC, since V5R3 a DELETE without a where clause, whenthe

It seems that Rob's post would need some minor changes. Nevertheless, I
still think is a nice intro.

Nope,
16 -F OP - File Open
17 - F CL - File Close
Now
15 - F CR - File Clear
is another story. :)
That's from either CLRPFM or an SQL DELETE without a where clause.

Check it. I think you will find it worthwhile...
Hey, I just got into journalling! See, if you don't post, you don't
Trouble is, I just ran the sql bit from hell, there are no records
14:26:09but nothing in the journal except :
Opt Séquence Code Type Objet Bibliothèque Travail Heure
15 F CR ARHDMN FOXWELL DFX3
14:28:0216 F OP ARHDMN FOXWELL DFX3
