I have a service program made up of two modules. A procedure in one of the
modules needs to be called by the other module, but not by anyone outside of
the service program.
In my copy source with the exported prototypes, I created a section of
'shared" or "protected" prototypes:
/if defined( RateCtlS )
//=======================================================================*
// Procedure Prototypes to be used by Service Program Only
*
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------*
// Initialize the Rate Table Module
D InitRateTabM PR
/endif
Both modules compile.
However, when I compile the service program...
CRTSRVPGM SRVPGM(kjarLIB/RATECTLS) MODULE(RATECTLM RATETABM)
I get...
Definition not found for symbol 'INITRATETABM'.
Am I missing something obvious? I don't have this procedure in the binding
directory and it does not have the Export keyword. I wasn't having the best
of luck in searching for an answer either, although I did find:

I'm not very well versed in multi-module service programs (not that there's
much to it, but this has definitely tripped me up).
Also, I'm at v5r4.
