Why not avoid CL at all... and use QWCRNETA (which I think is a better option as QWCRSSTS) ?

In addition, I would check with IBM if there's a know issue with QWCRSSTS.

CL can retrieve a return via
CALLPRC PRC(MYPROC) PARM((MYINPUT1) (MYINPUT2)) RTNVAL(MYRETURN)

But, you're right, I don't see a return on the PGM or ENDPGM or RETURN.
