A user space is a permanent object that exists in single-level storage
(unless you happen to create it in QTEMP, or delete it after use in
your
program). If you need temporary space > 16 MB, use teraspace
(available since 1999).

Loop detected. Reboot message thread? (Y/N)

OK. It still smells of a hack to me. Like someone discovered a way around
a system limitation, and that hack became the defacto proper approach. But
make it's just my opinion.

How often does anyone really need a contiguous permanent object in
single-level storage that is greater than 16 MB?

Not often, I'll admit. So I guess "640K ought to be enough" is conceptually
valid even today. Nice.
