Huh? First bit is off because it is off in the byte you are testing; other
bits are off because they are off in the byte you are testing with. So the
result of %bitand is x'0000000'. Seems alright to me.

Since the first byte of PrimaryBitMap is x'01110020' (right?), it should
dsply 'yes'...but it dsplys 'no'. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
