The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

First thing that comes to my mind is that the program is waiting on record
locks.
You might check for that next time it's running (WRKOBJLCK FILELIB/FILENAME
*FILE) and if the files it uses are locked by some other job than this one,
you can investigate why.

Subject: Analyse RPG program
We have a job that recently has begun to take an incredibly long time to
run and between the 3 programmers here we have not been able to figure
out why.
Most of the time it runs slowly (many hours) but every once in a while
it will take 10 or 15 minutes. Is there a tool available that analyses
your program as it is executing to look for
bottlenecks/flaws/locks/loops that can produce a report that may be able
to help us find the source of the slowdown?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
