Hi Aaron,

Interesting idea.

A couple of years back I created a subsystem on AS400 which did a similar job to MQ-SERIES - i.e. it transferred records to a pc network.
A program in the network would send in a request which my program picked up, validated, and created the appropriate response data stream which was sent to the requesting program on the network.

This used the tcp/ip protocol.

Sounds like an interesting idea you have ...

I know that was said in jest, but the past couple years I have really
wanted to do a project that would have RPG "talking" to a physical
electronic device to automate something in my home (being that I have an
AS400 in my basement). Has anybody done such a project outside of work?
