The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
An index over a view is called a logical file.
No. That's a DDS concept. In SQL Views control what columns and rows you
can see, they are a way to record in the database "what" you have access
to. An index is only there for performance, it's the way a DBA can give
the engine help in "how" to get data. You do not ever _need_ indexes in
a SQL DB*. An index helps the DB engine get the data, but is has no
bearing on what you can see.

*I'm not suggesting you should have a DB w/out indexes.
