I would expect not. What if you'd passed a pointer to that memory to
another program (perhaps your caller) before returning? It's usually
these what-if situations that make memory leaks so difficult to
prevent.
Come to think of it... Can I save a pointer to memory in a userspace?
And if so, is that pointer valid in another job? If so, can I even
rely on an endjob to reclaim the memory?
