COBOL has been dead for years. Nobody told the COBOL programmers though.

COBOL is inferior to RPG because you cant modularize your code with parameters on a perform statement.

So? Totally irrelevant to the statement. COBOL is still around even
though it was declared dead years ago.

RPG is inferior to Java and C# because of memory leaks,

Memory leaks? What memory leaks? I don't know how to create a RPG program with a memory leak. I figure someone like Joe P or Elvis B could, but I suspect they would have to work at it.

Unless you're advocating FOR memory leaks ... because it's a lot easier
to create a memory leak in Java (and, I suspect, C#). I've always found that memory leaks are BAD, not good.

RPG isn't an object oriented language. It isn't trying to be one.

RPG is OK, but C# and Java are more feature rich.

You're comparing apples to oranges ... RPG is an absolutely GREAT
language for it's intended purpose: Business logic programming. I wouldn't really want to program an ERP system in Java (can't speak to C#, but I suspect it's similar enough). On a similar vein, I would hesitate to build a GUI in RPG.
