First, if someone made such a statement to me, I would insist upon the names of those "IBM guys."
Second, I can guarantee that George Farr, who is in charge of RPG development at the Toronto lab, is *not* one of those "guys." George continually gives what I call debunking sessions at COMMON (and probably elsewhere) on this very subject.
Take names. Kick butt.

We have been searching for a new ERP package. In additon to looking at RPG Iseries based, we hired a consultant to assist in this endeavour. He has made a statement that RPG is Dead, that he claims, IBM guys told him so.
