The more I ponder this, the more I really think this would be a good place
for XML. Another option would be a positional file of some sort similar to
ACH or the tax files you send to the IRS (assume your in the US).

That was just an example. It could be 80, 15 and 5.

What I was considering was how to do this in one program. What might be
better is to determine my file names and percentages in a separate program,
then process one at a time using overrides. That way I can name/create my
file based upon the three characters from the table, populate each of the
multiple outside companies' files and send them on via stream files. To
complicate things, if the record has been sent to one of the other companies
in the past, I am to choose a new company. Hopefully they will spread the
love around. To finish, I must make a flat file of each in whatever form
the operations manager chooses to send them.
