The QDBRTVFD has an option, "Override processing" parameter seven, to
designate that overrides are to be honored when finding the file by the
name specified; for when more information about the file by that name
would be of interest. The file and library name are returned in the
"Qualified returned file name" parameter five.

But I will stick with my original recommendation on how to resolve
the concern alluded by the OP.
