Personally, the way I'd handle this would be to simply use dynamic SQL and build my statements with
explicit libraries.

Then just pass in a switch to determine rather you are going to QA or DVP from PDN.

Hi,

I'm modifying a program that we use in our development area that deletes
account record in the development area then copies accounts from our
production area into the development area.

The delete part is an SQLRPGLE program and in that program I want to
verify that the file the delete statement is going over is not in the
production library. There are overrides going on in the job stream prior
to the delete program and I am pretty sure that they are getting removed,
but I want to put a fail-safe into the delete program. This program can be
run over the development and QA areas so I don't want to qualify the
library on the delete statement.

Is there a way to get the library name where a file is found in an sql
statement?

Say I am going to run the following:

C/EXEC SQL
C+ DELETE FROM ITSEAR02
C+ WHERE DIGITS(SRCTRY) || DIGITS(SRPGM#) || DIGITS(SRPAC#) IN
C+ (SELECT DIGITS(EFCTRY) || DIGITS(EFPGM#) || DIGITS(EFPAC#) FROM
C+ ITCPYACT)
C/END-EXEC

Is there a way, before I run the statement, to get the library where the
program finds this file?
