Yep, I was sure I couldn't have been the first to try this. I'll give it
until Monday (not everyone spends their weekend on this list <g>) before
going the APAR route.

BTW - same problem if you use a MODS instead of an array.

I was curious so I tried compiling this on a few releases. Seems the
same defect is present on VRM510 and VRM530 too (after conversion to
fixed-form SQL) so presumably VRM520 also. Seems odd that no one has
found this problem before. Surely someone has attempted to pull
multiple records containing DATE data types into an array data
structure?

Changing the code to fetch a single record worked even when the array
data structure was specified as the target. This is what Birgitta
found too.

If a single record fetch works then a multiple record fetch should
also work so I would consider this a defect in the pre-compiler. Time
to open an APAR.
