No go. It was one of the first things I tried - even though SET
OPTION DATFMT = *ISO overrides the compile options.

Feel free to copy/paste the program I included and try it :-)

Yes, both fields (i.e. the date filed in the DS and the date field on

table are *ISO).

Changing the compile option makes no difference - BTW that is what the
SET
OPTION DATFMT = *ISO is doing so you don't have to change the compile
defaults.

I think Birgitta has identified it as a problem - or at least something
that
needs to be documented. BTW Anyone should be able to copy/paste the code

included and see if it compiles.

Specify DATFMT(*ISO) on the compile. I am not clear on why
specifying DatFmt(*ISO) on MyDate would not suffice instead, but it
seems not to help. The default from the compile is DATFMT(*JOB), but I
change my default compiles to *ISO.
