Kelley,

This is bad in a real world application. Unlike traditional RPG programming, HTTP has no concept of field lengths or data types. It is very likely that someone will pass in garbage data in the parameter you care about or even add additional name/value pairs to see what will happen. QzhbCgiParse saves you from having to write the parsing code yourself.

Well, all I ended up doing was running the environment API with the
QUERY_STRING option and since I'm only passing one field of a fixed length I
just used $subst and pulled it out of the return variable. Works great.

Kelly,

QtmhRdStin only works when you do a POST. When you do a GET (which is what
a hyperlink does), an environment variable called QUERY_STRING gets set.
API QzhbCgiParse is a little easier to deal with (at least once you come
up with a wrapper procedure for it) since it can be used for both GET and
POST.
