You should be using QtmhGetEnv to retrieve the QUERY_STRING environment
variable. Using QtmhRdStin you're expecting a POST method, when the method
your using is GET.

Brad,

I didn't think of the hyperlink option, thanks. I've been playing around
with it, the code looks like:

<a href="/cgi-bin/boitem.pgm?cdcust=1234567">1234567</a>

The boitem program kicks off, but the customer number doesn't seem to be
passed. The QtmhRdStin API returns blanks. I suspect I'm missing
something
in order to receive the custom number in the boitem program.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for all the help.

Kelley

Shouldn't need JavaScript, just a hyperlink on the customer
number. Have
it
sent the customer number to another CGI program that displays the more
detailed information.

The link for the customer number would look something like this:

<a href="/cgi-bin/custdet?cust=1010111">1010111</a>

This will pass the customer number to the next program (in this case I
called it custdet) which you read in and use to display the detailed
information, just like you did for the first program.

If you're looking for more CGI information, I've writen a few books and
training manuals you can see at www.bvstools.com/erpg/
