Well, all I ended up doing was running the environment API with the QUERY_STRING option and since I'm only passing one field of a fixed length I just used $subst and pulled it out of the return variable. Works great.

QtmhRdStin only works when you do a POST. When you do a GET (which is what a hyperlink does), an environment variable called QUERY_STRING gets set. API QzhbCgiParse is a little easier to deal with (at least once you come up with a wrapper procedure for it) since it can be used for both GET and POST.
