Hi,
I have been assigned a project to create an Excel Spreadsheet using
RPG, I have just finished my first RPGLE program to write directly to an
Excel Spreadsheet guided by the fantastic articles by Scott Klement and
Zach's answer to the binding directory mystery both of which are listed
below, I am quite pleased that everything works! However-I am having a
problem when I print the spreadsheet, is there a way to default the
print setup with regards to "Orientation Landscape" ; "Scaling Adjust to
81%" ; "Paper Size A4(210x297mm)" "Top Left and Right Margins to 0" and
"Print Gridlines" from my RPGLE or any other tool that can be called
from my RPGLE?
I do know of an Active X Control package that runs in SQL?

You're probably missing a binding directory.

Subject: Excel - Rpg
Hello,
I am in the process of trying to write and read Excel Spreadsheets
from
an RPG program using Java objects. I have followed the procedures
posted
in the article:
iSeries Network Publication
http://www.iseriesnetwork.com
Home of iSeries NEWS Magazine
Editor: Scott Klement
Issue 182
September 16, 2004
I have downloaded the poi files, and source examples, however - when I
try to compile the RPG - it ends abnormally but with the following
messages in my spool file:
Message Totals:
Information (00) . . . . . . : 448
Warning (10) . . . . . . . : 0
Error (20) . . . . . . . : 0
Severe Error (30+) . . . . .. : 0
Am I missing something? I have copied and pasted the poi files in the
path specified using the iSeries Navigator - is this correct and maybe
the cause of the problem? Does the RPG need a different compiler?
PLEASE
HELP
Thanks
