The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
"On Windows, you want to include CRLF which in x'0d25' in EBCDIC or
x'0D0A' in ASCII.
On Unix systems, you only want LF, which is x'25' in EBCDIC or x'0A' in
ASCII."
I think part of the problem is I just found out today that the sample file
I've been working with was cut/pasted from an excel spreadsheet - I'm
beginning to suspect that has been confusing me from the start as the CR's
used in my sample are x'0D' and the actual data I will be receiving will
be from a unix box in ascii.
I'm going to use a hex editor and change my test data to the unix ascii CR
value x'0A' and see if that is of any help (and modify my socket server
that translates and then writes to the IFS to handle it).
Hopefully next week I'll be getting some real test data and I can sort
this out and resolve this.
